Challenge for: all

Challenge goal: improve general fitness

Challenge targets: whole body

Level: suitable for all competitors

Age: any age

What does this challenge involve?

Walking may seem relatively easy, but how far and how fast can you go? All that is required is a good pair of comfortable walking shoes, and if you're going for more than a twenty minute walk, a bottle of water, a map and a snack to sustain you for the long haul. If you plan on walking fast, only go as fast as you're comfortable with. You should be able to hold a conversation with someone without shortness of breath. If you experience any pain, lessen the intensity or stop and stretch it out.

  • I do both. I love to walk and I could go for hours. I find fast walking tougher than jogging and is less stressful on my body. Plus, it's a good habit to get into :P

  • Im a runner so I could post a good score, but will stay off this and leave it to those who walk.
