About this challenge

Profile pic: TeamKonkura Challenge created by:
TeamKonkura

Challenge for: all

Challenge goal: increase strength

Challenge targets: legs

Level: suitable for all competitors

Age: any age

What does this challenge involve?

To take part, simply video yourself performing as many plyometric jump squats as you can in one minute. Take care to warm up first as this is a surprisingly tough challenge.

Plyometric jumps are great for building explosive power in the legs, so almost every type of athlete can benefit from doing them: sprinters, footballers, rugby, hockey and basketball players, strength athletes and boxers. If you need strong legs and an explosive start, this is the challenge for you.

Rules and advice:
- you must post a video!
- don't just post an entry and expect to win - you need to get out there and persuade your friends to vote for you

Entry scores

E1: How many jumps?

E2: Vote for me

Challenge scores are calculated using:

Score= E1*10+E2

  • I'm not sure whether to enter this challenge - it would be unfair of me to take some runners from weaker competitors liek those on the leaderboard - they sure look like they could do with some assitance! I hope I don't have a 'grinch' day - I might have to post an unbeatable score / video which wouldn't even needed voting on. CIAO

  • Where's James gone?? Maybe he was assisted!!
by BradDawson on 1/18/2011 7:05:00 AM

  • I agree with stevie. You should do a video of your whole body, not just from the waist down. the jumps look assisted. as far as Stevie's form, I don't see anything wrong with it. It looks solid.
by Bear on 1/15/2011 12:34:00 AM

  • first time on the challange wall, got to be honest james looks like he is on a bungee rope, not begging for votes but compare the videos. Look at the quality, form and height of each jumpbefore you vote and there can only be one genuine winner, !!!!
by stevie on 1/14/2011 11:33:00 PM

  • not sure if someone else has referenced this, but as much as I like Stevie's video and how many he did, he does not do the correct squat form. He never keeps the weight on his heels.
