    HealthHabits: I tried it again today to see how quickly I had recovered. The answer is...NOT WELL

    55 Pull-Downs...68 Push-Ups

    No strength at all in my arms for the last minute...laying face down on the grotty gym floor - it wasn't a pretty sight

Entry scores

E1: Push-Ups

E2: Cable Pull-Downs

Challenge scores are calculated using:

Score= E1 + E2

  • It would seem that score=e1+(e2x3) would be a better ranking as pull downs seem to be much tougher. Or Score=(e1/3)+e2. This would eliminate someone just doing pushups from having a much higher score.

  • I'll try again using Healthhabits technique of switching between the two. I did all pull-downs then all push-ups.

  • @Skippy - I say we mock anyone who just does the push-ups What I did was alternate between exercises - 10 reps p-downs and 40 reps p-ups to start - as I couldn't hit those numbers, I did p-downs to failure & p-ups to 30, then 20, then failure

  • does that mean you can do 5 minutes of push-ups. It should be split half and half in my opinion
    by Skippy on 4/14/2012 1:39:00 PM

  • Yes, definately more push ups than pulldowns
