GedMustoNumber1: Technique could have been a lot better but I still managed to keep going through the pain barrier and bash out 247 which I more than happy with, side obliques and neck took a battering though!!!...
GedMustoNumber1: Am down Wales for the weekend and haven't got the broadband connection to upload the video to youtube, will do so tomorrow and then put up..
GedMustoNumber1: Cheers for that Andy, I made certain I done just enough to get past xine's effort, I am after all the worlds best for the hour and 30 mins, so this should be a piece of cake which it is not, hard exercise...am looking forward to xine putting up a vid
AndyWeaver: Another great job Ged. I am about at my limit but will keep trying if only to improve my core strength.

  • Couldn't agree with you more buddy, the only reason why I haven't participated in many challenges is because of this sodding ongoing neck problem, there are so many I would have done 20 years back but I am basically limited as to what I can and cannot do...thethe hands on the temple line takes away the pain from the neck but only briefly I may add..it's still painful for me, any exercise involving raising the head and shoulders off the ground is dangerous with my four joints literally at breaking point, but i've always been a committed professional and committed athlete who doesn't know when to give up...You and I Andy are giving the young guns something to think about on this site and I just hope that all of them are taking inspiration from our exploits :) Keep up the great work!!!...

  • When I try this again, I will move my hands from behind my neck, don't want a neck injury. It's why I stopped doing headstand crunches, that is really hard on the neck. Ged, we are about the same age and I agree age has its effect, but the challenges here are helping me stop the clock or at least slow it down. Slower recovery is what I notice most in my late 40's vs my 30's.

  • I'm expecting you to overtake it mate...you are one true athlete and I commend that...:)
    by GedMustoNumber1 on 6/27/2012 9:11:00 PM

  • I think your top spot is safe Ged - for now!!
by Worthster on 6/27/2012 8:54:00 PM

  • My physio is not impressed at all with my effort on this...it's the one exercise where the neck is so exposed, and 4 of mine are 99% already on the way out...as I said 300 seems to be around my max, about ten years back it would have been 400-500...that's age catching up Andy...;) us old dogs have to keep the young brigade on their toes...:)
