Challenge for: all

Challenge goal: increase strength

Challenge targets: whole body

Level: suitable for all competitors

Age: any age

What does this challenge involve?

This challenge is for those who can safely perform one arm snatch and have three kettlebells. It is not for the faint of heart. Because rest is to only be taken in the rack position, Girevoy Sport style, it is much harder to get high reps.

This is one of my favorite workouts for kettlebell sport. I like to perform it on Friday. It is good to leave it all on the gym floor before the weekend.

With three kettlebells, perform as many reps as possible in the snatch with each weight, taking no rest between each one. Complete all reps on one arm before switching sides. Scoring based on weakest arm at each weight.

Scored on gross tonnage.

Recommended weights are 32kg, 24kg, and 16kg for men. And 16kg, 12kg, 8kg for women.

Scoring take each weight multiplied by the repetitions completed at each level. Add for sum.

For example, 32kgx11reps=352, 24kgx17reps=408, 16kgx21reps=336; Your score is 352+408+336=1096.

  • It would help to have a demonstration video of a kettlebell snatch so the requirementsnare clear to all.
