What does this challenge involve?

How many push ups/press ups (depending what you prefer to call them) can you squeeze out in a single minute?

Not girlie push-ups on your knees, proper full blooded testosterone fuelled push-ups. They don't have to be perfect pushups.

Who will push their body to the limit and beyond for the glory?? None of this gym rubbish, real men don't need props! You can do it..........

  • Totally agree with Jo about the tremendous strain on the rotator cuff...I should know because i've done mine in on numerous occasions over the years I have been training and competing...Judging what is the perfect push-up is a difficult thing, even with video technology, the angle of the camera misses things that official adjudicators doesn't!!!...When I done my 112 back in 2002 I had two official guinness adjudicators there, one placing a fist about an inch or so just above the floor and the other had the counter, there was no getting away from it, plain and simple...it was the same when I done my one hour of 2,467 full press-ups in 1995 which is still the world's best to this day, I had two adjudicators again, but this time round I was doing sets of 20's,30's,40's,and 50's with a short break in between...There seems to be a hell of a lot of 'half' press-ups shown, you only have to look at the 114 that Stevie done, to be totally honest it left me cold inside that he was nowhere near on a full, and if guinness were adjudicating then he wouldn't have scored any at all, but as me and Jo both know from experience, taking the body that touch lower puts tremendous strain on the anterior delts, and it's a sheer case of pushing your limits past the pain barrier, but as the saying goes 'no pain,no gain'...If you are going to try it, then try it properly...Keep up the great work one and all, you are all true athletes!!!...

  • Pushups all the way to the floor is bad on your rotator cuff and part of the reason why I can only do 12 right now. Rotator cuff reconstruction for the second time. Know your safety techniques and form peeps. Do not end up like me; damaged forever!
