    GedMustoNu...

    score: 1 hrs 5 mins 56.0 secs

This was done back in 1988 in Germany during the Desden Half Marathon, I was behind a certain Dr Thomas Wessenghagge who was a major rival in the late 70's early 80's to Seb Coe and Steve Ovett...I have done a few times under the 1hr 10mins and had run for Newport and Thames Valley Harriers before I was forced to quit my athletics career after I tore my achilles tendon in 1991...At the grand old age of 48 I can still run a mile and half in 8 and half minutes...

GedMustoNumber1: Sbaguru, from all of the videos you have put up, you are a truly amazing athlete..It's great that us oldies are still kicking serious ass!!!....Keep up the tremendous work buddy..:)
AndyWeaver: Amazing to run a half at about 5 minutes a mile. Great job and 8.5 is still good. Can't call you old as you are my age :)

  • Apology accepted Momona :)
    by GedMustoNumber1 on 4/19/2012 8:35:00 AM

  • I apologize as I didn't understand the way challenges work here. I still don't see how a "challenge" could possibly exist in the past. That's my 2 cents. I made a mistake Ged and was harsh on you - I apologize.
by momona on 4/19/2012 4:23:00 AM

  • Sorry momona you were out of place here. The challenge clearly implies "ever" and without it specifying it be current, we should be free to post any time we have ever run. There are many challenges that fall into this category and other that do not. If the person who creates the challenge feels they were not clear when they see his post (very honest about the time frame) and changes it to mandate a "within the last year" or something like that then I am sure Ged would change it.
by AndyWeaver on 4/18/2012 11:03:00 PM

  • I'm done as well but I think it's you who is jealous of me :)
by momona on 4/18/2012 11:05:00 AM

  • I'm not getting involved in this obviously jealousy sniping...my achievements has been recognised by the highest governing bodies and authorities in the industry, and most importantly I am seen as one of the top stamina and endurance exponents in the world..Individuals like yourself can gain a wealth of knowledge from individuals like myself, you've now doubted my 5k recent time, you are unbelieveable, pure jealousy again and it's there to see in your posting, just because you quite simply haven't got the build to run, you can powerlift and powerlift well I may add. I still run and I was more than right to class your posting as 'uncalled' for, how dare you bring my professional standing into question, all I haver had is accolades from Bear, Worthster, Pikey, PhilFit,Sbaguru, Sylvatica, Jen and many others who have all checked my credibilty!!...and it's not everyday you have a world class athlete on your doorstep....I have retained my higher than normal peoples fitness through 30 years of sheer hard work and dedication, once again I put up 'recent' videos to show my standard of fitness!!!...I have nothing to prove on my site, my past achievements has already cemented that! This is my last posting on this page, my time is staying up whether you like you like it or not, simply because I achieved it!!!...
